Course contents : Analysis of the vertical structure of the atmosphere: pressure, temperature, moisture. Thermostatic applications.Elements of dynamics. Atmospheric boundary layer. Stability of layers. Cloud and precipitation mechanisms. Anticyclones, cyclones and fronts. Jet streams. Aeronautical applications of meteorology.
Course objective : Analysis of physical meteorological processes important for aeronautical engineers.
Prerequisites : Basic thermodynamics and dynamics of fluids
Organization : 5 lectures of 3 hours
