Learning unit contents
The culturel heritage: definitions, identification, inventorisation - Documentary sources - preliminary Studies - Evolution of the notion of protection and the concept of restoration - Preservation and development of the archaeological remains - Philosophy of the integrated preservation; the international charters - The legal protection of monuments, sites and excavations in Walloon Region - The notion of authenticity - Integration of the contemporary architecture in the ancients monuments - Examination and analysis criticizes of files of restoration.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
Supply the keys of access to the management of the heritage and particularly those of the restoration of monuments
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Knowledge of the history(story) of the architecture
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course gives itself in 10 sessions and contains a session of visit of construction sites of restoration in service to meet professionnals of the sector: architects restorers and companies.
