Learning unit contents

This course focuses on the challenges of building data modeling and BIM practices as defined in the international standard ISO 19650. This course is an approach to BIM as a support for the project design activity of architecture. It consists of an approach to the development of a database necessary for collaboration and communication of the architectural project.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Define a BIM modeling strategy relevant to your project objectives,
  • To model in line with your design objectives
  • To document and quantify a project from a BIM model.

  • CCG : Image et numérique,
  • Projet
  • Construction
  Erasmus students are welcome.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Every week the class is organised into hands-on Lab work (around 2 hours). This work is organised either in lab or at home according to the calendar.

Additional information:

The course is taught in French. 

The course materials (exercises, videos, articles, etc.) are published on ecampus.

Depending on the schedule, some practical work sessions are given in an "hybrid" mode. In this case, the content necessary for the lab is given in advance, work can be done remotely from home and teachers and assistants are available at given schedule for one-to-one support (answers to questions, additional explanations, etc.).
