Units courses prerequisite and corequisite

Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program

Learning unit contents

The course on the biodiversity analysis methods focuses on the analysis method adapted for
- ecological communities
- populations.

Community

Vegetation survey and analysis of the diversity of plant communities
Interpretation of vegetation and environment data in line with biodiversity management

Populations

Oral teaching:

- Challenges of applied population ecology

- Analysis canvas

- Examples : analysis canvas applied to particular studies

Reversed class:

- Examples : analysis canvas applied to particular studies

Practical applications

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

see the course's components.

Community

After completing the course, the student is expected to
- develop an appropriate approach for vegetation sampling to answer a practical problem of biodiversity management
- be able to select a method to analyse vegetation in relation to a practical problem of biodiversity management
- be able to interpret a vegetation analysis with respect to environmental conditions

Populations

At the end of the teaching, the student must be able to select/propose a method to answer a research question about plant or animal population ecology. He must be able to interpret the method and results of a given study.
