Learning unit contents

This course is intended for students who have generally already completed a TFE and who mastered the basics of documentary research. This course provides information on the specific documentary environment of the University of Liège, and addresses the management of references and citations. The course also raises awareness of the notion of plagiarism, the use of artificial intelligence, and provides information on the circuit and issues of scientific publication (Open Access; bibliometrics):

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of the course, the student is able to:

Perform an effective documentary research;
locate the documentation in libraries or on the Net;
decode and write standardized bibliographic references;
sort and manage bibliographic references.

Additional information:

Most of this course is carried out face-to-face, with alternations of theoretical sequences and tutorials.

Depending on the number of students and the availability of lecture rooms, it is possible that some personal work sessions will be carried out remotely. A detailed schedule is provided at the start of the course.

The student can bring his personal computer and/or earphones (if he wishes to view tutorials during the tutorial sessions).
