Course contents :  
The course objective is to propose management methods to reconcile agriculture and forestry in a sustainable manner in tropical areas. It is divided in three main chapters:

1. Definition 2. Agroforestry systems in dry tropical regions 2.1. Multipurpose trees on cropland 2.2. Windbreaks 2.3. Alley cropping 2.4. Sylvopastoralism 3. Agroforestry systems in moist tropical regions 3.1. Shifting cultivation 3.2. Improved fallows 3.3. Home gardens 3.4. Live hedges 3.5. Alley cropping 3.6. Taungya
Learning outcomes of the course :  
After completing the course the student is expected to : ·Be able to implement agroforestry programs considering ecological and social environment. ·Be able to identify main agroforestry species and their techniques of regeneration. ·Be able to manage agroforestry nurseries.

This course is mainly based on lectures supplemented with many pictures and films.
