Learning unit contents
The lecture includes all aspects related to geological risk : hazards, vulnerability, disaster response, risk mitigation...
applied to earthquakes, mass movements, volcanic ... with focus on hazard coupling mechanisms.
Both scientific and socio-economic aspects are considered.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The goal is to understand the coupling between hazards as well as the link between hazard and risk.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Good knowledge of English and maths. (lecture given in English)

For the lecture with 4 ECTS points :
2 field days related to Liege microzonation in April 2024.
For the lecture with 5 ECTS points:
Visit of large mass movements with high impact in the Alps in May 2024, if min. 5 students registered.
