This course contains 4 chapters:
1. Production of X-rays
2. The structure factor
3. Symmetry
4. The powder technique
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The aim of this course is to introduce the students to the main tool of the Mineralogist: X-ray diffraction techniques.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
The content of the course "Cristallographie et Minéralogie" must be known.

Practicals: X-ray powder diffraction.

Face-to-face learning. Practicals are OBLIGATORY.
