Course contents :

| The phonological and morpho-syntactic history of the English language by means of a discussion of the major changes at each stage of its development, with emphasis on Old English (OE) and its reflexes in present-day English.
Chapters on:
- Major phonological and morphosyntactic changes
- OE inflections; auxiliaries; preterite-presents
- Translation of Old English and Middle English texts
