Learning unit contents

The course is made up of 4 different parts:

1/ Weekly speaking activities

2/ Internship Interview (presentation & interaction)

3/ Full-English courses

4/ Online learning modules

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of the course, the student will reach the Level B2+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages within his or her field of specialty, as well as the level C1 for oral presentation skills.
This course develops and assesses (certificative assessment) the competence 4.3.4. "Présenter en anglais un sujet complexe dans des termes adaptés au public visé."

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

The student has to have a B2+ level (cf. CEFR) before starting the course.

Weekly speaking course, 1h/week

Internship Interview

Online modules including theory and exercises

Coaching session by student assistants

Additional information:

The grade will be calculated as follows:

- Internship: 50%

- Debate: 40%

- FE course: 10%

For students that do not follow the full-English course, the grade will be as follows:

- Internship: 55%

- Debate 45%

A student who is absent for one FE and/or the January exam and/or the June exam, will automatically be considered ABSENT (A) in June for his or her English course.

Students signing the 'interaction' part and/or the 'internship' part will be given a final grade of 0/20 for the entire course.

The students who sign the FE course will be given 0/20 for that hybrid course 

Exemptions, even partial, will not be granted.

Organisational remarks and main changes to the course

A student who leaves for one term/semester/year has to contact the Engilsh teachers before leaving.
