Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The course aims to help students improve their grammar skills and expand their specialized vocabulary in order for them to be able to understand a criminology-related academic text.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Though the course is intended for beginners, a basic knowledge of the English language is essential.

Grammar classes will be held in the first semester. Students who get a score lower than 8/20 at the level test are highly encouraged to actively take part in these.

The Grammaire anglaise de Base Intercative (GABI) is also available to all on eCampus. Students are invited to use it as additional support.

We highly recommend that beginners and students requiring a deep revision of the basics of the English language take part in one of the many additional English courses by the Foreign Language Institute (ISLV). Further information is available at https://www.islv.uliege.be. One has to sign up online by September 24th, 2023.
