Course contents :

| The course will focus on Australian fiction of the Reconciliation period and seek to identify frequent strategies of settler national identity definiton at a time of great cultural uncertainty. The following texts will be examined in detail:
David Malouf, The Conversations at Curlow Creek (Vintage, 1996)
Alex Miller, Journey to the Stone Country (Sceptre, 2002)
Robert Drewe, Grace (Penguin, 2005). |
