| The course will be an introduction to English linguistics. It will be based on a discussion of the following book: Douglas Biber, Susan Conrad and Geoffrey Leech, Student Grammar of Spoken and Written English, Longman, 2002. |

| The acquisition of basic notions in English linguistics; insight in the grammatical and lexical specificities of the language. |

| Very good knowledge of English; Langue anglaise I. |

| Some sessions will be devoted to specific exercises. |
