Duration :  30h Th, 10h Pr, 20h Mon. WS
Number of credits :
Master in Mathematical Sciences, in-depth approach, 2nd year10
Lecturer :  Pierre Mathonet
Language(s) of instruction :
French language
Organisation and examination :
Teaching in the first semester, review in January
Course contents :
Le contents of the lectures vary according to the current interests of the team of differential geometry and of the students that follow the lectures. The main themes are classical questions of differential geometry or questions related to the current research done by the research group in differential geometry.
Learning outcomes of the course :
The student should learn a few current research topics in differential geometry, and also how to present such a topic in a seminar session.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :
The course "géométrie différentielle I" is obviously a prerequisite for this series of lectures. The courses "geometrie différentielle II" and "Algèbres de Lie" might be prerequisites for some of the seminar sessions.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
The students will follow lectures and will also present some of the lectures.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
It is a face-to-face mode of delivery.
