Learning unit contents

Aperçu général : Définitions. Classification des machines outils, des robots et des processus industriels de production automatique. Notions d'automate programmable, de GRAFCET, de GEMMA. Etude de la partie opérative des machines de production. Choix des solutions d'actionnements électriques, hydrauliques et pneumatiques. Architecture des robots et caractéristiques : nombre de degrés de liberté, espace de travail, précision, répétabilité. Actionnement des machines automatiques. Actionneurs pneumatiques et hydrauliques. Travaux pratiques sur automates programmables, sur des robots et des machines à commandes numériques. Travaux pratiques de pneumatique et d'hydraulique.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

  • Fundamental knowledge in robotics and automation of industrial processes.
  • Study the behaviour of an automated system.
  • Apply automation technologies for the design of a production system.
This course contributes to the learning outcomes I.2, IV.2, IV.6, IV.8 of the MSc in mechanical engineering.

  • 3 labs on hydraulic and pneumatic actuating systems
  • 2 labs on PLC programming (combinatorial and sequential programming)
  • 1 lab on robot programming
