Learning unit contents
Semiology is the study of the symptoms and clinical signs of diseases.
In this course the structured management of the anamnesis, of the clinical examination and the keeping of the medical file are taught.
This course also discusses decision making in medicine and explains the distortion in information processing that can be caused by cognitive biases.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Knowledge of the semiology of the cardiovascular, respiratory, nephro-urinary, digestive, musculoskeletal, metabolic and endocrine, gentitl and neurological systems is necessary for this learning.
Attendance at the practical work sessions organized as part of the semiology course is mandatory. Any unjustified absence is penalized by a withdrawal of 5 points from the general semiology exam.

The course is given face-to-face and can be found in the form of a power point file on e-campus.
