Units courses prerequisite and corequisite

Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program

Learning unit contents

The course aims at making you reflect on possible ways of transferring elements of learning or training experiences to your teaching practice so as to enrich it. In other words, you have to look back on the 7 IFRES training sessions dedicated to pedagogical issues in which you took part and to explain to what extent you found them useful for your professional development and how you propose to transfer elements of what you learnt on such occasions to your concrete teaching practice

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The course should enable you to formalize your reflections on possible ways of transferring elements of training experiences to your teaching practice so as to enrich it.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

In order to enter your report for this course, you must have attended 7 IFRES training sessions (see note below) IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR.
The training sessions take place at set dates. Each session lasts half a day. You have to enrol for 7 of them by following the enrolment procedure to be found on the IFRES website.
PLEASE NOTE that only a subset of the IFRES training sessions are eligible for this course. This subset will be accessible from the CAPAES and Formasup web sites.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The learning activities will vary according to the IFRES sessions which you choose to attend.

Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)

Most IFRES training sessions are organized face-to-face; some of them are organized by means of distance learning.

Recommended or required readings

Recommended readings vary according to the IFRES sessions which you choose to attend.

You write down a reflective report (2 to 5 pages) in which you explain how your experience of 7 IFRES training sessions has contributed to make your reflections on your own teaching practice evolve. You should also explain which elements of your training experience could be/have been transferred to your teaching practice and for which purpose.
Your reflective report should help you to regulate your teaching practice. It will be assessed according to the following criteria:
- You refer explicitly to theoretical elements and to your personal experience of the IFRES training sessions in which you took part (specific to each participant);
- You demonstrate reflective ability (questioning and critical analysis);
- You present your reflections in an adequate form (respect of instructions and of APA referencing rules, structured argumentation, quality of language).
A minimum grade of 10 out of 20 is required to pass the course. Your optional courses (amounting altogether to 8 ECTS) make up 16 points out of the maximum 100 points of the Formasup end-of-programme grade. For the CAPAES participants, this course is graded in "pass or fail" terms.
If you undertake Formasup in 2 years, optional courses with a lesser grade than 10/20 obtained in year 1 cannot be retaken in year 2.
