Learning unit contents
The objective of this course is to familiarize students with clinical psychology by making them aware of the scientific approach of this discipline.
This course will present the main clinical activities (prevention, screening, short intervention) which are linked to first-line psychologists, clinical psychologists and clinical remedial teachers.
The course will also aim to address the notions of multidisciplinarity both in connection with other health professionals and patient partners.
Beyond the theoretical notions, concrete examples will be used throughout the course sessions.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of this course sequence, the student will be able to understand the nuances existing between the different activities of the clinical psychologist.
It will have a better representation of the treatments and their expected benefits.
He will have knowledge from health psychology enabling him to understand the issues - for example - the importance of prevention and screening activities.
