Learning unit contents

In this course, we will address a particular theme in cognitive psychology and neuroscience and develop a deep theoretical understanding of the subject, via the complementary contributions of different neuroscientific tools.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

 

- Focus in depth on the theory around a specific theme;

 

- Search and read the scientific literature critically and identify unresolved questions;

 

- Apply knowledge in methodology to imagine an experimental design that will address novel theoretical questions;

 

- Outline hypotheses and predictions relative to the experiment they have imagined.

 

- Deliver constructive feedback to peers and display benevolent curiosity.

Evaluation will be based on oral presentations and written assignments.

Attendance is mandatory. Each unexcused absence will thus be penalized by the loss of 5% of the maximum possible grade (i.e., one point out of 20 per missed session). In case of unavoidable absence (e.g.: illness), please contact the teacher as soon as possible.
