Learning unit contents

Introduction to planning, its different stages with a focus on health systems evaluation. Different planning frameworks will be proposed in an international health context, including the "One Health" approach.

The concepts of results chains and indicators will also be covered. A practical exercise will be carried out.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The aim of this course is to provide students with the theoretical and methodological tools they need to understand the issues involved in health planning and to enable them to develop a rational approach to the subject, applied to the international context.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Students should be able to mobilise the knowledge acquired in epidemiology and the organisation of healthcare systems during the MSc course.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The courses will be based on theoretical presentations, encouraging everyone to participate, and on a practical exercise based on a concrete case.
