Units courses prerequisite and corequisite

Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program

Learning unit contents

Remedial activities take place throughout the primary and second term from septembre 15th. The subject is that taught in the biology course (BIOL0006-1) of block 1 of the bachelors in Biological and Chemical Sciences. We will focus more particularly on the concepts and their applications that create the most difficulty for students: membrane permeability and osmosis; replication, transcription and translation; cellular energetics; cell division and reproduction.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The purpose of this activity is to remedy one or more existing problems on the subject covered in the biology course (BIOL0006-1).

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Follow the biology course (BIOL0006-1) and/or a similar course in another faculty and/or sector is a prerequisite for this remediation.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

This activity consists of different work sessions (face-to-face and/or online). During face-to-face learning sessios, the students are divided into small groups of a maximum of twenty people. During this, the students are led to solve application exercises or questions of reflection on the theoretical material. For each question/exercise, a student proposes his solution to the others and his peers correct it, complete it, etc. The supervisor guides the discussion and then intervenes to validate the solution reached by the students. The exercises to be solved are very similar to those that the students will be subjected to in the examination.

Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)

Blended learning
