Learning unit contents

Clinical training based on the radiographic, CT scan and ultrasonographic examinations realized on the patients referred to the imaging service.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

  • Learn how to obtain good quality radiographs respecting radioprotection principles ;
  • Learn the principle of image formation and the principles of radiographic analysis and interpretation;
  • Learn how to establish a differential diagnosis based on the radiographic signs;
  • Learn how to write a radiographic report;
  • Learn how to critically choose the right imaging technique for each clinical case;
  • Aquire some basic knowledge in ultrasonography and CT scan examinations.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Basic knowledge in anatomy, veterinary radiology and radioprotection.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Practical training in film reading and/or practical training on animals (non conventional and conventional small animals) will be organized.
