Learning unit contents
The course will focus on soft tissue surgery, control of the normal reproductive cycle, reproductive pathologies in domestic animals, clinical oncology, and diagnostic imaging related to the above topics.
Integration will be optimized whenever possible.
Indeed, in order to establish links between the different topics, part of the lectures will be given simultaneously or sequentially by the different teachers.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
To know the most frequent surgical pathologies and their surgical treatment.
To know the basics of clinical oncology.
To know the bases of the anatomy and the physiology of the reproduction and be able to adapt them to physiological and pathological situations in companion animals.
To know the principles of image interpretation and imaging diagnosis.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
General knowledge in anatomy, clinical anatomy, radio-anatomy, physiology, semiology, general pathology, infectious diseases, as well as in surgical biology and techniques.

Additional information:
During the first session, in May-June, a written examination based on the overall content of the teaching unit will be organized: no partial credit will be granted.
During the second session, in August-September, a written evaluation will also be organized.
However, if the number of students allows, students will be informed that an oral exam might be replacing the written evaluation.
The final mark results from a common decision of all the co-lecturers. This mark can not be split between the subfields of the course. A final mark <10/20 will result in the student having to sit the exam again for the entire content of the course.
