To develop effective communication strategies

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

  • Implement a dynamic of professional cooperation including the patient and his entourage
  • Master the basic concepts of communication and their impact on communication processes
  • Apply communication methods and tools appropriate to different situations and audiences
  • Define the communication process
  • Explain the place of communication in relation to human factors and Crisis Resource Management
  • Explain the role of communication in teamwork and leadership
  • Apply specific strategies for dealing with difficult communications
  • Develop assertiveness (speaking-up) in crisis situations
  • Identify the roles of verbal and non-verbal language
  • Understand the emotional and relational implications of all communication
