Learning unit contents

The course presents the main tools to collect and analyze information (Oral survey, observation, landscape analysis, etc.) and tools to assess the regional development and foresight it. Special attention is given to participatory approaches.

An important chapter is dedicated to Oral Surveys and Interviews techniques, including the analysis tools. The students will conduct one survey. (Research questions, questionnaire, test, survey, coding, analysis, statistical tests and report).

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The lectures and the exercises present tools and prepare the students to construct and implement a survey. Students work in collaboration at the diagnostic.

The course includes numerous practical situations which allow the student to experiment the tools presented. Regular attendance is required.
