Learning unit contents
This course will cover a variety of topics and mainly:
- the promotion of health and physical activity. Indeed, acquiring skills to best promote health and physical activity is essential for the physiotherapist.
- new technologies. As many innovations both to promote physical activity and to facilitate rehabilitation have recently emerged, part of the course will be devoted to these new technologies.
- telemedicine. The pandemic (COVID) has highlighted the interest of telemedicine for both doctors and physiotherapists. The RIZIV has also agreed to reimburse, under certain conditions, services performed online. This course will be an opportunity to discuss the interest, efficiency, obstacles and modalities of remote consultation for the physiotherapist.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
At the end of the course, the student :
- will be able to promote health and physical activity
- will be able to adapt his/her actions/proposals to each individual within the health promotion/physical activity framework
- be familiar with new technologies useful in the promotion of PA and rehabilitation
- know the basics of telemedicine

This course is subject to a written examination in the classroom with questions which may cover the entire subject.
The final mark will also take into account the quality of the work in group (from -1 to +1.5 /20).
