  • The patient journey (outpatient and hospitalization)
  • The computerized patient record
  • Identity-vigilance
  • The drug circuit Logistics flows
  • Specialized systems
  • The difference between configuration and development
  • Decision support
  • Support for clinical routes, care routes and chronic pathologies, home hospitalization
3. Standards and communication, interoperability



  • Interoperability standards (HL7, FIHR, DICOM, IHE, ...)
  • Codification standards
  • Telemedicine and telecollaboration
  • Communication with external stakeholders (eHealthBox, RSW, hubs, etc.), hospital networks
  • Providing data to authorities
  • The digital offer for patients

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Understand, through an organizational, methodological, technical and application approach, hospital IT in order to use it optimally and pragmatically.
Get an overview of data mapping and key functions of hospital IT.
