Descriptive statistics - univariate - bivariate and multivariate
Probability and probability distributions - probability and random variables - important univariate and bivariate distributions

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

To learn the elements of descriptive statistics and the principles of the statistical methods. After completing the course the student is expected to - summarize data by means of tables, graphs and numerical measures, - calculate probabilities of events, - make correct use of the commonly used probability distributions.
