Learning unit contents

Teleconsultation is more and more present in our practices. It allows the implementation of four clinical activities namely prevention, psychodiagnosis, screening and intervention. Although its effectiveness has been demonstrated, a certain reluctance is still noticeable among professionals. The first objective of this module is to alleviate the "technophobia" that some might feel when faced with this new practice of consultation. In particular, feedback will be provided for this purpose as well as a brief summary of the results obtained in the scientific literature. The different platforms that we can use will also be presented. This will allow learners (i.e., supervisors supervising trainees) to become familiar with this practice.
The module will then focus on the possible modalities for the supervision of a trainee (e.g., live observation of the trainee, debriefing work on a consultation conducted by the trainee alone and recorded).
Particular attention will be paid to the diversity of illustrations so that they are closest to the reality of the internship supervisors (e.g., psychology, remedial education, speech therapy, etc.).

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The objective of this module is to provide concrete guidance for internship supervisors (i.e., know-how) when consultations are carried out via videoconference. A scenario by role play will be proposed.
At the end of this learning unit combining ex cathedra courses and role-playing games, the professionals in training should be able to envisage remote supervision of their trainee.
